Fall is Here!!

Cool weather is starting to move in, fish are in there fall patterns flushing grass shrimp off the banks. Looking forward to my favorite time of the year.

Its Africa Hot out there, but so is the Fishing!!

With temps in the low to mid 90′s everyday it’s been pretty warm, the fish have still been super active throwing wakes on the shorelines eating shrimp and pogies. They make for great sight casting opportunities.

Big Summer Reds!!

Who ever said you couldn’t sight cast these studs on fly in the Summer…….. had 20-30 shots at 30+ LB. fish today

Back in the Marsh!!!

Today was my first day back in the marsh after poon season. I was able to get out there with my wife for a few hours. Water is extremely high and a bit off color but the fish were thick pushing wakes and pounding the pogey’s and shrimp on the shorelines. Things are lining up for another great fall.

Windy Red Fish!!

The wind has been crushing us for the past few weeks, that has pushed a ton of water back into the marsh and the red fish have followed. Pretty cool time to fish as the reds are started to crush poppers on top!! Enjoy!!

Drum Central!!!

Big drum everywhere…. Water is starting to get back up in the marsh with all the south winds pushing it in. Finally starting to have the opportunity to fish some areas that we can’t get to during the winter…

Hybrid Bass caught on fly in the Marsh…… Never seen this before!

This is how we eat down here, a little dear meat and some blackened red fish…. Thank you George and Bob!!!

Warm weather is Finally Here!!!!

We have had beautiful weather here in Louisiana over the past week. Air temps in the mid to upper 70′s and mostly clear skies….. The fishing is on fire!!!!

Spring Time!!!

Weather is starting to warm, flats are heating up and the fish are starting to become very aggressive….

Early March, top water bite picks up, BIG fish still in!!!

With water temps rising, the fish are starting to get more aggressive. The mullet are moving back i and the monster reds are keying in on them….

Last days of February, tons of BIG fish!!!

Great fishing in the marsh, still tons of monsters swimming around!!
