Riding High, A Season of the FlyOur Film won Best Cinematography and Best Fishing at the 2011 Drake Magazine 5 minute Film Awards. The full length DVD will be out in Fall 2012, Thank you to all of our sponsors, family and friends. This video was entered into the Drake Film awards and won best story and cinematography. We did what we needed to do to promote the fishery and show people that the marsh is fishing awesome despite all the bad press it's got on the news. The oil spill was a bad situation but the marsh has over come it and the fishing is on fire. Enjoy!
Here's a cool video Sam Root shot here in Louisiana. Our goal was to catch some nice redfish on fly but the weather was horrible. Despite the Bad conditions myself, Sam Root and Derek Redwine from BoldWater were able to catch some nice drum in the Louisiana Marsh. Check out the big Black Drum I catch at the end on fly. During the shoot we were using a lender from Inshore Power Boats made by the same skiff company that made my new East Cape Vantage.
